Oct/2009 Present Count on Us (Part-time) - Glasgow

The main responsibility of this company is to do the transportation data collection. Surveyors are usually working in group of two to collect all kinds of data, including statistics of passenger flow in train, statistics of car flow at a busy crossroad or roundabout, and statistics of parking space at car park. Team leader of each group has to communicate with either supervisor from Count on Us to discuss about survey details, or staffs from ScotRail or passengers about train details. The team leaders need to have the ability to solve sudden events, such as delay or cancellation of trains. It only took me one-month-time to be a team leader, and be trusted by superiors.

May/2011 Present National Data Collection (Part-time) Glasgow

This is a company doing similar job as Count on Us.

Jul/2007 Sept/2007 Xinyuanda Automobile Sales Company - Harbin

Main job I did was to be an assistant of the manager, helping answering customer phones, or printing documents.

         Communication Skills

The degree course has helped me to enhance communication skills as result of the assignments and presentations. Also working in the companies mentioned above improved my communication skills as I need to keep people happy, including customers, passengers and supervisors.

         Team working skills

Practical projects such as the design an oil well develop plan on groups of 4. Working in a group enhanced planning as certain jobs had to be allocated to certain group members at a specific time. Our group was rated as one of the best group by the supervisor and got 71% for result.

         Problem solving skills

Problem-solving techniques were acquired and improved by completion of many coursework exercises given by the lecturers at university, and by solving sudden events during working at Count on Us.
