Below are results of the solidification of two solid circular seeds within a supercooled liquid melt. The material has preferred growth directions leading to the formation of two faceted crystal. These eventually merge and form one large crystal. The adaptive moving mesh has clustered around the phase change front and has no difficulty in dealing with the change in topology of the computed interfaces.
