I am interested in numerical linear algebra and its applications to scientific computing. Much of my research has focused on understanding Krylov subspace methods for solving linear systems and developing effective preconditioners for these methods. I have also worked on applying results from tropical algebra to problems in numerical linear algebra.

I have been a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Strathclyde since October 2015. Previously, I was a postdoc for Françoise Tisseur at The University of Manchester, and for Andy Wathen in OCCAM at the University of Oxford in collaboration with David Keyes at KAUST.
