I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students, including individual and joint project supervision. Subjects taught:

 

· Information Transmission and Security

· Electronic Processing Systems, inc. programming in C++ for Engineers

· Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Theory

· DSP Implementation

· Engineering Analysis: Probabilities and Stochastic Processes

· Real Time Systems

· Digital Communications

· Information Theory

· Computer Networks

 

Teaching aims:

(i) bring out the structure of the subject,

(ii) concentrate on key concepts,

(iii) relate new material to what students already know and understand,

(iv) explain key mathematical concepts in a simple, illustrative way,

(v) incorporate up-to-date technologies/standards and recent research material into course notes and discussions

(vi) impart my passion for what I teach to students to motivate them to learn new skills on their own, a skill valuable for research
