Personal Home Page of Matthias Langer

I am a Senior Lecturer in Applied Analysis in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Strathclyde. I studied at the Vienna University of Technology where I also did a PhD and a Habilitation. After doing post-docs in the UK, Germany and Austria I started as a lecturer in Strathclyde.

My main research interests are in Functional Analysis, Spectral Theory and Differential Equations. In particular, I work on elliptic PDEs, evolution equations, differential equations with singularities, inverse problems, spectral problems that depend nonlinearly on the eigenvalue parameter, and on their applications in science and engineering. More details can be found on the page on my research.
