Personal Profile
I joined the University of Strathclyde in 2007 and am currently a Reader of Marine Hydrodynamics. I am leading a Computational Fluid Dynamics & Computational Structural Dynamics research group at NAOME. My major research interests are computational fluid dynamics with particular interests in bioinspired hydrodynamics, marine renewable energy devices and offshore fluid-structure-interaction problems. I am a senior Member of the AIAA, a Member of ISOPE and ASME. I am also an editorial member of Ocean Engineering Journal, associated editor of Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering (JOMAE), International Towing Tank Committee (ITTC) Ocean Engineering Committee member.
Apart from research, I am committed to teaching in thermodynamics, heat transfer, energy system management and computational fluid dynamics.
