Personal Profile
I joined the University of Strathclyde in 2007 and am currently a Reader in Marine Engineering. I am committed to teaching in thermodynamics, heat transfer, energy system management and computational fluid dynamics.

Research Interests
Dr Xiao's recent research interests are numerical simulations and modelling of marine related fluid problems, including the bio-inspired, environmental friendly, new class of propulsion propeller, robotic fish and ocean stream/wind energy extraction devices which imitate the energy harnessing by the swimming fish.
